The colors of a gray day…. can you see them? Can you feel them?

When you feel like living in a gray day…

When I am floating in the water,  everything around me seems to disappear, and I am the only one in the world…

What seems like a moment, suddenly becomes infinite…

What seems like a gesture to hold my breath, becomes a smile…

This is what happens in life… there come moments that are more difficult than others, and the scene suddenly can turn black… There are cloudy days that seem that were not made to smile, these are days that hurt and ache, however, those same days can have a color that allows us to breathe and even smile.

There are situations in life that hurt us and pain shows up every day, sometimes as physical and sometimes as emotional sorrow, and most of the times as both… this is part of being a person-(human being), and when we go through such situations we suffer in a way that we feel physical pain but we also feel insignificant, small, as if we were not much, and this makes the pain grow stronger.

Someone said to me, once… “Do not let your pain make you feel you are not worth it … Do not let your pain grow and take the reserved spaces for the best moments of your life such as smiles, kisses,  joy, friends, sunsets and the things you enjoy most in life and finally, do not let your pain stop you from being happy.”

All of the above seems easy, especially when you say the words; I think that the most bearable pain is the one suffered by others, I mean, when you are not feeling such pain and when you are not feeling what the person in pain is feeling, however, the answer to this question was… “Pain is not about our ability to bear it, pain is there and everything depends on how you handle it… Physical pain is easy to treat and modern medicine has pain killers and very good anti-inflammatories that take pain away… but heart ache is much harder to treat, for such pain there is a medicine made with a formula that contains: will, love, courage, trust and joy.”

I loved this response, it is a good formula and the one I shall apply in moments of sorrow that might come along during my life… so that nothing makes me feel like I am insignificant.  Even when it seems it is a grey day with not one ray of sunlight, I will use this formula that will allow me to see all the colors of the day and smile… a big heart smile!
